Effective September 24, 2026
FormSpotter is built to collect nothing. This page explains exactly what that means.
Nothing. FormSpotter has no analytics, no account system, and no tracking of any kind. We don't know who you are or how you use the app.
FormSpotter uses your iPhone's camera and Apple's Vision framework to estimate your body's 3D pose live, entirely on your device, in order to score your squat and deadlift form. Camera frames are analyzed in memory as they arrive and are immediately discarded — no video or photos are ever recorded, saved, or uploaded. FormSpotter has no servers, and your camera feed never leaves your phone.
FormSpotter asks for camera access only so it can perform live form analysis while you train. The camera is never accessed in the background and is never used for any other purpose.
The only data FormSpotter keeps is a small session log stored locally in the app: lift type, date, rep count, and form scores. This log never leaves your device, is never uploaded anywhere, and is deleted automatically when you delete the app.
FormSpotter uses no third-party services, no ad networks, no analytics SDKs, and makes no network calls at all. Everything described above happens with on-device frameworks only.
FormSpotter may offer an optional, one-time "Pro" in-app purchase through Apple. Payment is processed entirely by Apple — FormSpotter never receives or stores your payment details.
Form scores are estimates intended for general training feedback only. They are not medical advice and are not a substitute for guidance from a qualified coach or medical professional.
FormSpotter is not directed at children under 13.
